This time next week, the Scottish Masters will be over; and we will have hopefully achieved the purpose we set out at the start. The main aim, was to get a large Masters style tournament; on the Scottish and eventually the UK calender. Starting small, would allow us to iron out any issues (of which we had a few); but also allow us to plan more efficiently for 2014.
Talking of contributions, I received the Warbases items today and have to admit to being pleasantly surprised by them. The Feat Tokens look great and made of acrylic, not the MDF I was expecting. The Bullet Keyrings, have just to get the split rings attached, to complete the look; but they come made up of at least 6 different colours of acrylic (I might need to requisition a Cryx green one). With just the Chess Clocks and the resent items from Micro Art Studio, we are Good to Go!
Yesterday I received the bags kindly donated to the Scottish Masters, by Battlefoam. All I can say, is that I am jealous of whoever gets one of these bags. They have provided us with two different colours, one in black and the other in the Battlefoam Green. This is the first time I’ve actually got a close look at the trays too, which are really nice. It’s got the softness to the foam that makes abrasion on models less likely; but it has the rigidity where it needs it – the base and sides. Overall I really like the quality and options that Battlefoam offer, there is a reason they are they best; and will be looking to invest in one in the future.
A big thank you to everyone at Battlefoam, this is a fantastic contribution to the event; which I am sure will be hotly contested given the quality of these products. Why not check out the website, as they do specialist trays for all ranges of system; including Malifaux, Spartan Games and Flames of War.
