They say the best laid plans of mice and men, well the mice just ate all the cheese and buggered off. This week has been a challenge, which is slowly getting back on track.
First up I woke up on Monday morning, with a really sore throat. Throat lozenges were just making it worse (strangely), so panic started to set in that I was coming down with a cold. Thankfully that hasn’t been the case (touch wood), so that is something. The next problem, was that we couldn’t get hold of prize coins for Saturday; which I had intended using for the Fully Painted. So will have to revert to Plan B, which I am still….erm kind of making up as I go along.
The last issue is the tables and the terrain, which aren’t really a tough problem to solve. Frank (Worlds at War) is supplying as much terrain as possible, to cover 3 tournaments. Luckily FoW and WM/H are different scales, so the terrain isn’t that interchangeable. The main thing that needs to be shared is some hills and trees, the buildings are either is circa 1930/40 houses; or GW and GF9 style buildings.
This may all seem like a challenge, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. This is why I wanted to be a Press Ganger, to organise these types of events; which hopefully leads to more in the future. Saturday, bring it on!
